Friend, You all know that Routers become so common these days especially Wireless Router. Every house, apartment, business has one. Wireless routers make life easy now it is possible to connect multiple devices like Laptop, Computers, Smartphones to the internet wirelessly.

So are u also willing to buy a new router for your home?
But, You are confused Which router is best??

Actually, Many people find that they don’t know much about routers when it comes time to buy one and we consumers usually don’t bother to learn much about them.
That's why I m here with this article. This article brushes up on your knowledge before making a purchase.
Things We should know before buying a Wireless Router:-

  1.  Trend or Popular Model
  2. Cost & Performance
  3. Speed
  4. Security
  5. Warranty

1) Trend Or Popular Model:- Choosing the right Wireless Router is one of the toughest work because Many well-known brands are in the market and everyone is doing well too. So what should we do?? Which brand is good?? Should I buy the common old one?? these question will rise on your mind.
First of all, think about your requirement. buying the old and famous router is not a good step because we all know technology is running so fast. That’s why we have standards like 802.11g, 802.11n, and 802.11ac – these aren’t just random numbers, they are a description of router capabilities. The traditional single-home user will likely need a different kind of router from the heavy-gamer or media enthusiast.

The latest standard is 802.11ac, which you see on all the newest routers. These routers can support up to Gigabit speeds, much faster than the previous 600Mbps limit. If you are buying a new router, look for the “ac” standard first. but mind one thing only your latest standard will not able to give you benefits, your device must be Updated or supports it  If your smartphone only supports 802.11n, for example, then you won’t see any speed boost on that phone if you purchase an 802.11ac router. You might find none of your devices support 802.11ac, in which case an older, less expensive router could make more sense. Some examples are ASUS Dual-Band AC1750 Wireless Gigabit Router and Netgear Nighthawk AC 1900 Dual-Band Wifi Gigabit Router. These all device offers high speed and compatibility.

2) Cost & Performance:-  This is the main point you should know, what is more important Price or Performance. For me, Performance is more important. Actually, Router price Depends upon their features, Elements used in router, antennas, ports etc. If your facing tough time and your pocket little tight don't worry you can find some Cheap router also but these routers won't offer all latest and great features. Generally, the latest and best Routers are available in the Range of $100 to $250. Always read the review of the product. It will provide you a hint. Always choose a retailer who offers a liberal return policy if you’re not satisfied.

3) Speed:-  Wireless Router is always promoted using 'theoretical' speeds and by this standard. In the first point, I told you about standards. 802.11ac is capable of 1300 megabits per second (Mbps) which is the equivalent of 162.5 megabytes per second (MBps). This is 3x faster than the typical 450Mbps speed attributed to 802.11n.
Remember that a router’s speed only determines the speed of your home network. It won’t make your internet connection quicker unless it was bottle-necked by your previous router.

 4) Security:- Friends, Security is more important. If your device is not secure any troublemaker can eavesdrop on your online activities, access any of your files stored on your computer, leech off your internet connection,  infect your system with viruses.
So when you are going to buy Router at least prefer for WPA2 and make sure your device also support WPA2.

In market many of companies working on security. They are designing Router with advance Family security. These router devices come with many extra features, including the ability to add extra encryption, monitor devices, block unwanted users from the network, and even see what people are browsing.

5) Warranty:-  When you are going to purchase a router always consider Wireless Router Warranties Because the terms and the length of these warranties vary company to company. A warranty also indicates the commitment of a manufacturer to support their Products.

These points are main points we consider before buying any router. If you want to be more sure about the product than also check their Brand value, their Customer Service and Feedbacks from other customers.
Friend all routers are not built the same. Some are easy to use and some are quicker. So decide it wisely because having a right wireless router connection at home make everything easy from browsing to the internet, Seeing movies and listening and downloading the music etc.
